Be wary, be very wary when XM Radio tells you their music channels are commercial free. They may not be advertising McDonald's latest burger, or Wal-Mart's rolled back prices, but they are NOT non-interrupted music. There are advertisements for featured artists, there are advertisements about XM itself and there are even advertisements to tell you what station you're listening to! Now didn't you know that when you picked it? So, when XM states they are commercial free, they are splitting hairs, they advertise things, and regardless of how they may define a commercial, in my book what they do, advertising, are de facto commercials. I was considering purchasing an XM radio and subscribing to XM for the commercial free music, lucky for me DirecTV started broadcasting XM Radio and that is how I was able to find out XM Radio's music channels DO NOT play uninterrupted commercial free music.
